I started Anxious for Change after going through an early (I hope) mid-life crisis in my mid thirties. I’d become a walking cliche, unhappy despite a good career at one of the best software companies in the world, a loving parter, and more vacation time than I could use in a year. I’d achieved what I had struggled for, but I was still completely unsatisfied. After years of flailing around trying to find my passion I stumbled across two things that finally set me on the right path - psychotherapy and coaching. After a year of sometimes eye-roll inducing education and self-discovery I finally stumbled across something I wanted to put my energy into - sharing all the tools I had learned around mindfulness, anxiety management, and goal setting with others.
Everything in this blog is what I’ve learned while searching for purpose, and is something I wish I’d known 15 years ago.
If, like I did, you feel stuck in your own life, or you struggle with anxiety, negative thinking, or fear that you’ve dragged with you from the past I hope you’ll find something that resonates with you or makes you curious to learn more on your own.
If you need an ally to hold space for you while you’re pursuing a change in your own life I can help as a certified coach - you can book a session with me here.
